Órla has over 25 years of leadership advisory, consulting and coaching experience. An organisational psychologist by background, she has worked with leading organisations and their Boards to build organisational effectiveness, support senior team alignment and strengthen leadership capability and self-awareness.
Prior to founding Thrive, Órla was a Senior Partner at Pivot Leadership, a Korn Ferry Company, where she was the Asia-Pacific Business Head and Regional Lead of Leadership Development Solutions. She has held Leadership Consulting and Organisational Effectiveness roles with Heidrick and Struggles (Asia-Pacific), Oliver Wyman Delta, Mercer and Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals (New York). Órla has experience supporting blue-chip organisations in all major industries.
Órla holds a PhD, an MPhil and an MA in Organisational Psychology (Columbia University), and earned a first-class honours BA in Psychology (University College Dublin). She is a licensed psychologist with the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial-Organisational Psychology.
She was on the faculty at Columbia University where she taught Research Methods courses in the school’s Social-Organisational Psychology Masters Program and worked as a process consultant in Change Management and Conflict Resolution.
