Dr Amy Beacom is the Founder and CEO of the Center for Parental Leave Leadership and creator of the RETAIN parental leave coaching model – an unsurpassed leadership development, transition support, and culture change lever built on the analysis of over 30 years of research and theory in executive coaching, adult learning, organisational psychology, identity development, risk and change management, and perinatal mental health.
Amy has worked in the field of executive leadership development and coaching since 1996, with a particular focus on issues of relevance to women leaders. She was a founding Principal in a successful executive development firm, later acquired by Mercer, before returning to academia and private consulting. Amy worked with Fortune 500 companies to craft customised leadership development experiences designed to support large-scale culture change efforts.
Amy holds a Ed.D in Industrial and Organisational Psychology (Columbia University), a Master’s in Organisational Psychology (Columbia University) and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology and Gender Studies (Lewis & Clark College, Portland).
