Kate McKenzie

Kate McKenzie is a highly regarded and experienced Non-Executive Board Director and Telecommunications Executive. She has a passion for innovation and technology, and for customer centricity, and has an impressive track record in delivering growth, productivity and change management.

Kate is the Chair of the NBN Co. Board and a Non-Executive Director of AMP, Stockland Corporation Limited and Healius. Kate is an Operating Partner of Stonepeak. She previously served on the Boards of Allianz Australia, Foxtel, Telstra Ventures, Sydney Water and Workcover.

Kate was the Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand telecommunications group, Chorus (listed on the ASX and NZX), and held several executive roles at Telstra, including Chief Operating Officer. She has also been formerly involved in a number of micro-economic reform initiatives, including the sale of a bank and an insurance company, sale of water assets and the establishment of the national electricity market.

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, with a strong track record in understanding government and regulatory environments. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women and has had a long history of involvement in promoting the interests of Indigenous communities.
